My Ride: 535d Eccelsa, 05 2005 (built 12-04), sapphireblack, beige dakota leather, electric seats, poplar wood trim, sport suspension, 124 style 18" alloys, differentiated f/r runflat tyres, steptronic, adaptive light control, bi-xenon, BMW PRO nav, cd, cd changer, electric-foldable and automatic antidazzle rear mirrors, automatic antidazzle internal rear mirror, adjustable central armrest, BT, Hifi Professional LOGIC7 , extended functions aircon, full lighting package, green comfort fascia on windshield, PDC park distance control, voice control, CPT9000 car phone, BMW Assist, BMW On-line, BMW Tracking, alarm system, programmable remote controls.
Never been an expert, so my judgement is strictly unprofessional: IMHO the Logic 7 system works damn good!
To my ears the quality of the sound is superb, no distorsion at all and very good atmosphere in the cabin. You can appreciate it especially with a high volume, at low volume it's nothing special compared to other OEM systems (Merc, Audi)
Just my opinion.

[/quote]But as great as it sounds audio DVDs have limited selections. The crossover system in L7 provides a great system for regular CDs

Great stock system, but.............The Mark Levinson in my Lexus is pretty good too. No EQ so I like L7 better, but it is very close.

I thought the $2000 Nakamichi system in my GS400 was good too until I went over to the local high-end audio shop one day and asked for a demo of an aftermarket system. There is absolutely no comparison. If you've never been in a car with a decent (> $2500) aftermarket system, you have know idea what you're missing. I know I didn't.
