There's quite a few that do this out there. If they are caught they should be sut down!

Hey guys, if the dealer was charging for work NOT DONE, then they should be brought to task for it.
My brother in law marked the oil filter on his fathers Volvo before it went in for a full service, the car came back with the same marked oil filter fitted and he had been charged for a replacement filter as per "normal" service.
People put their trust and faith in main dealers, thinking they are getting a top class customer service/experience, if these guys are pulling the wool over customers eyes......then I hope justice is served.
But I'm not sure of this practice, chasing individual clients for a law suit, is allowed anywhere outside of The United States, well certainly not in Ireland anyway.

There was a dealer near me around 10 years ago was accused of not completely doing the maintenance they were charging for. Very shady! But the sad part about all of this is the ambulance chaser law firm will make a mint and the customers that were taken advantage of will probably get a free oil change!

Dang, BMW of the Woodlands? I almost bought a few cars from them but went with Momentum BMW southwest instead (Momentum dealers are pieces of sh*t). Would not be surprised to hear that several Houston BMW dealers are doing the same thing.

The legal firm apparently does NOT have a clear case of fraud but is attempting to make one. The former employee may well have an axe to grind with the dealer? The customer who complained may have only perceived that there was a problem or he / she thinks that the service writer is lying??
The worst part is the fact that the legal firm sent out the letter without fact to many people and regardless of whether the dealer is found at fault, it will always be guilty in the public's view. maybe the legal firm should be sued.
I am now retired after 20 years in the automotive industry. I do not know of or would ever believe that any franchised dealer would consider jeopardizing a multi million dollar business for a few hundred bucks???![](https://5series.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/wassat.gif)
