No ex-con here buddy But some of the people that work at these stealerships should be put in prison for the shadyness they practice...

My assumption is that even though BMW of Manhattan does offer loaners to all, they use $700 security deposit as a deterrent for customer who did not purchase from them...

February 2012 will make a year since I have had my 550, and I have yet to get a loaner. Not saying I'm looking forward to driving around a car less than mines, but it would be nice to be given one, plus 335i seems quiet tossible

Sterling dealership always give me 335i, once a mini Cooper, a 328i and X3.
The first time I dealt with them a few years ago, they wouldn't give me a Bimmer, I asked to talk to their manager but the rep came back to me saying "you didn't buy your car from us".
I told him, "you are telling me that you don't want me as a potential future customer, let me talk to your manager". He came back again and signed me up for a 335i.

After that, I've always given Bimmers (and a mini).

The few times I've been into the dealership, I've been given 328s and more recently, a 335d.
I have to admit, I love the fuel efficiency and responsiveness of that car. Would I pay $45k for one? Not a snowball's chance in hell.
Besides, I love the 5ers too much, and if I were spending 45k on any BMW, it would probably be an e60 M5.

Dependent on which dealership you go to, the 5ers go quickly.
At my local dealership, they seldom have anything but 328s available.

You guys are lucky. When I went to the BMW dealership in irvine, they wouldn't even give me a loaner car. They use enterprise as their loaner cars which I think is a bunch of bull****.
