AFAIK the US gets the black inserts instead of reflectors and all others get reflectors... For some strange DOT reason...

yeah, i don't see why, i see other luxury cars with them, oh well, i think the black inserts look "cheap" so i ordered some oem ones.

Looks like the new bumper has the reflectors removed.

You guys get everything cheaper. GAS, cars, EVERYTHING. Yes, we are jealous.

even non-luxury cars have them. there are couple come right out of head, mazda 6 and saturn vue.

Here is another recent thread on this subject. It contains a link to the entire DOT regulation that is causing the cars to come to the US with the black inserts.

Good luck trying to figure out specifically why the car doesn't meet the specifications!

Well, I just received my Euro Reflectors from Bekkers. WOW, my first MOD is in my hands. Now it just needs a CAR.

I think that BangleBox_530d was saying, is that the SPORT bumper in Europe does not have the Rear Reflectors?? It does not even look like it has a place for them.

I didn't realise that the standard E60 had the reflectors. No sign of them on the sport, so perhaps this will be standard fit to US spec cars from now on.
