Hey Everyone, I'm hoping you can lend some group insight. I've searched thoroughly before posting and have not found a consensus.

I want to upgrade my license plate (and possibly interior lighting) to a brighter white. There are TONS of options and opinions on the web and I trust this forum. I am looking for plug and play, error-free, quality option.

Does anyone have any experience? Opinions? Recommendations?

Thanks!

Give a little bit more parameter of what you're looking for. Looking for brightest or cheapest? Obviously those two don't go hand in hand.

Brightest is the Mtec replacement housing, no contest at all.

Friday my car was in for oil service, and they gave me an 2011 E90 loaner. Upon popping the trunk, I noticed the bright white license plate lights. They look pretty good IMO, not too bright, but very nice white light.

This is what I am looking for.. An OEM retrofit option, as PnP as simple.

I bought my interior and license plate lights from trinityautosport.com and I love them. Good guys to deal with too.

ebay is full of those license Plate lights. They rance between $9 and $25. What you're looking for is the White ones.

These are what I have. Took 3 minutes to install. http://www.bimmian.com/60/LPL/

So, I'm digging my heals into replacing my license plate lights too. I mean, come on! Adaptive Bi Xenon headlights and LED tail lights with poor lighting on the license plate? That's no match!

Researching, I found 2 ways to go. I can purchase the LED bulbs, or the entire light housings. The attractive bulbs cost about $15 a pair, while a pair of housings cost about $50.

Which route should I take?
