LHD to RHD headlight conversion speedo info change
Hi Guys really need some [size=5]help
Father in laws 535d touring has become available to be at a good price but,
How do I go about LHD to RHD bi xenon headlight conversion?
Can the headup display change to show MPH rather than KPH, or even the hidden info idrive option to display speed in the small data screen,
thanks guys
Darrell

Headlights are easy, there is an adjustment on them (move a lever) to change. MPH/KPH is a software set-up in the computer, again easily sorted by reading the book.

is this something you could do for trips into europe
Yeah, just got back from Geneva and whilst on the tunnel I set the xenons to right hand drive, set the speedo readings to kmph, and set the mpg readings to L/100km.
It even converts your total milage on the car from Miles to kms.
Takes less than 3 minutes to do all of it.
Just in case anyone is interessted, over 2000 odd kilometres I averaged 127kmph and returned 8.9L/100km.
This car is so easy to sit doing 180kmph in, you could do it all day long.

I was quite surprised to find that it is only doing about 1750 rpm at 80mph, no wonder it will cruise at 180kph. What's that fuel consumption in old money Gizze?
I am well impressed with the 535d, if you can get one cheap monkey, go for it.

Can anyone confirm if Xenon headlights are the same on LHD and RHD car and the position of the levers is the only difference?
If I understand what it says in the manual the levers should be either in /center\ or \center/ position.
On my car the both levers were pointing to right as factory setting.
