The fuel tube is leaking on my 06' 525i. It is leaking right from the end towards the front of the car. I had it checked out and the part would be $125. Or I am thinking it could be welded to be fixed? Or anyone know how I could do this myself, as the tube is under pressure I am not sure how to disconnect everything.

Fuel + welding + messing with one of the most vital parts of the car.

Might help if you had a picture or a part number.

Is it:

Since it's under pressure, glue is out of the question. What ever you do, you'll have to disconnect it to service it. Might as well replace it.

...well I would disconnect it and empty it of fuel...I guess replacing it would be easiest...Has the fuel line got a valve that prevents fuel from coming out once disconnected?

It is part # 13537542541. I was going to get one through the dealer, but there apparently are none in Canada and they are on back order. Where can I get one on the cheap?

I would just drive the car to almost empty, and then do it

Probably not - here's some advice on working with fuel system components:

-Disconnect the battery
-Open the gas tank cap to relieve pressure
-Have plenty of rags and/or a catch can to police up any fuel that may leak when disconnecting parts
-Work in a well ventilated area (fuel stinks but it also evaporates)
-Once reassembly is completed TEST and CHECK for leaks BEFORE starting the car
-Keep a fire extinguisher nearby just in case

Have fun

That's a good idea only if he was replacing the fuel tank. The lines are going to hold pressure regardless of how much gas is in it.

That part would be the fuel rail. Perhaps one of the fuel injectors is not seated properly?
