Hi to all!
I noticed that the plastic tubing in between the upper hose on the expansion tank that leads to the radiator was broken. I took it apart and change the brittle plastic tubing with a copper tubing instead. Is it okay to leave it like that or do I need to buy the OEM hose... part # 17 12 7 519 247 and change the copper tubing?

I had the same problem several months back and my jerry rig is still holding up. Because its out of site and out of mind I've completely forgot about it. Maybe now would be a good time to replace it. It is relatively cheap howeve,r the oem tubes are plastic and come assembled with the flexible rubber hoses on both ends. So repairing/replacing with a copper tubing (although would be a good idea) would require a little modding to the connection. good luck
