Has anyone come across these before? The site says they are made by Hella but it also says there is no dealer reflash requires. Does it still need the cables?

I have contacted ?m?nitza and have obtained the following answers to my questions.
1) Are these actually Hella tail lights?
[?m?nitza] Yes, they are.
2) Are they similar to the 2008 LCI lights (which are those pictured on your web page)?
[?m?nitza] yes they are the 2008 lights.
3) It has been discovered that a "retrofit" of the OEM version of these LCI lights generate error messages on the iDrive system and a "strobing effect" upon startup (now that problem can apparently be resolved on the OEM retrofit with the assistance of some well engineered cables); So my final question is whether this product generates a similar strobing effect or iDrive errors.
[?m?nitza] That is up to the connections to the car and any additional adapters that are required. Out of 10 kits we've sold so far, all had to be reprogrammed at the dealer. The OEM retrofit with cables would work, unfortunately we do not offer this as part of the kit. If you are interested, we could look into providing this as an option with the purchase but the pricing for the product will likely not change.
They also said that getting a set would take a few months becuase they would be comming from Europe. I figgure there are 2 options: 1) attempt to install these lights--go to the dealer and get them to "reprogram" the car and hope for the best; or 2) go with the sure thing and get OEM lights and Bruce's cables.
