LCI and Pre LCI difference...

ok...

i have 07 550i Sport..

i wanna get angel eyes.. but the more i read about LCI and PRE LCI..on the forums.. i get more confused..

Pre LCI doesn't come with PDC? but.. my car has PDC...

and.. i don't get the difference between LCI and PRE LCI?

i tried using the search button to get some answers.. but when i search "LCI" or "Pre LCI".. it says.. no results found....

I am sure this has been posted by many members.. and I hope i'm not the only one confused by this..

it's my first bmw.. i really don't even know what LCI even stand for.. ahhahahahaha

any help would be great.. i wanna order Angel Eyes.. and i really want HID AE instead of the LED...

but.. John(brabus) says PRE LCI only takes LED?

gaah.. my head is about to explode !!

any help would be much appreciated~!

oh and i guess my car was produced on 12/06.. i believe.. ( i just saw it on the driver side door where the rec. tire pressure is..? )

enter the last seven digits of your VIN here, http://realoem.com/bmw/select.do
That will give you your cars birthmonth and also in most cases if it´s LCI or not.
PDC does not have anything to do with LCI or not.

One way of telling if your car is LCI or not is,
If the inside door handles go up at an angle, im guessing that the angle is around 40-45 degrees then your car is not LCI.

hey im curious too. mines says its a 5'E60 prod 04/2005 N52. does this mean mines is Pre LCI? and whats that mean? lol

This link states "The E60 gained even more acclaim after the LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) model was released in 2008. This LCI model just included a "face-lift" of the front and rear end of the vehicle. My Ride: 07 E61 530d M-Sport.

The LCI E60 and E61 were first built form March 2007. Anything before that on realoem will be a pre LCI.

: you have a pre-LCI e60. So even if you have xenon headlamps, your AE bulbs are not H8 bulbs as is the bulb type used for LCI xenon headlamp AE's. So an HID H8 AE kit is not possible for you, unless you retrofit xenon LCI headlamps.
