Sorry I am late with this post, I actually have a 2008 528i ![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
Yes I am happy with it and it definitely has the kick it needs to get passed someone easily and comfortably as well.
It handles well around curves etc..
However, after driving the 528i for many months I did wish I had more power and a stick shift :0
I just felt young again in the 528i, so thats how good it felt to me.
But one of the major reasons we went with the 528i was because of the MPG. It just did not seem economical to go with something bigger for us right now. But I also realize that I am not 20 anymore so I rarely punch it and run away with it on the highway or city streets. But it is there when I need it. Cant go wrong with the 528i but you will have to figure out what you want out of it, how much money you want to put into it, as well as what type of modding you want to do.
Not many "speed" mods for the 528i, I dont know the names "chips", sprint booster, dual exausts, stuff that make the engine GO.
But for the 530 on up they are available. Forgive me if I misspoke but that is what I have found so far to be true.
Regards,
TR.

My Ride: 2008 528xi navigation, xenon lights, luxury seats, Ipod adaptor, rear air bags, premium pkg, steptronic automatic transmission

I like my 528xi In my opinion plenty of horsepower. If you want to accelerate faster move the automatic lever to the left and it goes just fine. Great mileage.. 23 US mpg around town 27-28 US mpg on a trip.

Thank you for chiming in on this! I didn't realize the 528 got such great mileage! But I suppose in constantly gridlock Seoul traffic, the consumption numbers will be a bit worse.

I say get the 528 and spend the extra $$ on mods. You might be able to get the same HP and Torque out of the 528 for way less $$$ on mods...intake, ECU flash, removing the floormats. ![Thumbsup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/thumbsup.gif)

What is this joke about removing floor mats???
I've read it on other threads, but not sure what to make of it.
