Do you think they could update the iDrive so that artists from your iPod are listed like the phone's address book? (Click on the first letter of the artist's name to only list those artists.) It's a real pain to school from AC/DC all the way down to ZZ Top when you have 2,500+ songs and who knows how many artists.

Here's hoping a software update can address this...

Take a look here cuto. New software addresses the turbo lag issue. Car drives COMPLETELY differently. Looks like your 535i was built just about the same time. Software update is totally worth it.

i'm having my car updated tomorrow too. I wonder what are the changes since v20?

i heard it's new colours, better tuned transmission and engine, some better interfaces in idrive.. is there anything else?
What did you complain about to get them to update the software? I'm on v17.1 and I have eyebrows working, mp3 coded already. I don't know what to come-up with to get them to update under warranty.

Which dealer do you go to in south bay?

I complained about "turbo lag", but obviously that doesn't apply to your 530i. I also had my windshield replaced, which required a software update to get the rain sensor to work.

Try "delayed throttle response"? "Transmission slam"?

That faq is way outdated...

32.1/2/3 were out in late Jan early feb at most dealers
33.X is out now at some dealers dealing with more of the Transmission slam and Lag fix issues on the 1/3/5 N54 cars.

Did you get a SW update, were there any improvements and how much does it cost roughly?
