last minute advice

My Ride: 2008 550i Space Gray
hey all!
well.....as of this evening....i may be trading in the 540('05) for an '06 750li........????
am i nuts....??
so many pros AND cons i am confused....
i already miss the fact there is no forum quite like THIS one for the 7.....i looked at bimmerfest but the peeps there are NO way as enthused as the 5 owners.....
i fully realize the territory i am entering for better AND worse...
giving up something to gain something else...
i guess i just want to hear SOME kinda support from my fellow peers i have enjoyed reading with for the last two years.....
you know this ALL started because YET AGAIN the dashboard and i-drive are lit up with warnings and malfunctions....NOTHING out of the ordinary...and everything i have grown accustomed to dealing with as part of the ownership experience....if the car didnt satisfy so much on the "driving" end of it....it would NOT be worth it...but how can you help but overlook these service issues...(and yes i realize and expect to have the same issues in the 7)
my latest issue (after already having the stress fracture in the window, cd player malfunction, dead battery issue NEVER REALLY EXPLAINED by the way, and a few others that escape me at the moment) are squeaking horribly...i read the posts about doing the whole 10 acceleration/brakes to sorta burnup the buildup etc....and i understand the logic of the performance brakes not being uses properly from too much socal commuting in bumper to bumper...but adding this to the sudden introduction of the NOISY door seals....(which i managed to avoid for OVER a year...i had them in my 540 and sorta expect that "noise" as part of a BMW cabin....) add this to the recent i drive warning of the passenger airbag restraint malfunction....all these togehter has made me realize as MUCH as i think i would keep this car (its a purchase, 18 months in) after the 4 year warranty period is VERY slim.....so since i am already used to a HORRIBLE monthly payment on a purchase of this one...to move over to a lease onthe 7 for about $100 diff monthly...it starts to look attractive......

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
I din't know that the E60 540i was sold in the US!?
