The UK facelift PDF said 350 pounds so it should be around $700 to $750 hopefully.

I bet it will be cheaper than that in the US.
We get ripped off for options in Europe...

The Nissan M35 and its variants has had this for a couple of years in the US as part of the "Technology" package. The general view among those who've posted comments or talked about it is that it's something that is fine to have at first, and eventually annoying. In the Nissans, it can be turned off. The camera (also part of the Technology pakcage) which turns on when reverse is engaged is said to be pretty helpful.

what exactly is this lane deviation warning anyways? just curious, and I don't mean to steal your thread or anything. I'm just curious.

I'm glad this is an option. If it came standard, I would be hoping that it could be turned off.

It vibrates the steering wheel if you make a lane change without using a signal.

$700-750 is a pretty good price I doubt that it would be cheaper than that.

If I understand correctly, it's more sophisticated than that and gives an early warning of a potential "uncontrolled" lane departure or drift. I may be wrong pf course.

The when switched on, the system is operational only above 40 mph.

And it should cure the habit for many of changing lanes without indicating.

If I've seen correctly on the bmw.com presentation, it'll also give an audible and visible warning
