If I set the CD to Random Play it only seems to work for the initial setting. If I turn the car off, it loses the Random selection feature. Is this the way it works or am I doing something wrong?

This is an annoyance of mine also. I remember reading though that the newer CIP updates, I think 25, or 26+ have this issue fixed so the car remembers the random setting next time. Can anyone with a newer CIP confirm? I'm waiting until the late Fall of this year to get my final s/w update before my warranty runs out in Feb 08, it's almost been 4 years, wow!

Have the same issue.... And another very irritating thing when playing an MP3 disc on random, is when the radio breaks in with a traffic report, the MP3 disc is turned on afterwards, but not on random!!

I listen to MP3 DVDs all the time, and have the same annoyance (LCI 520d with business navigation (=radio professional)).
When I choose "random all", it works. But as soon as I want to skip a song by pressing the "next" button on the steering wheel, it will go to the next song in that particular directory and then disables random play!
Only a small minus compared to how great it is that it reads MP3 DVDs by the way. I love this system. Still I want to find out about retrofitting the audio USB option, I really like the idea. Anyone knows what the max stick size is for that? Does it accept 8Gb or 16Gb sticks?
