First of all, do you guys have comfort access or not? If you do not have comfort access, then the key's battery recharges itself when it's in the key slot on the steering column. If you do have CA, then the battery does not recharge itself, instead you need to replace it.

)I was told by the dealer to insert the key occasionally to recharge it. But you are correct. The CA key fob contains a normal CR2032 battery which is NOT rechargeable (page 40 of manual). Thanks.
