keep auto climate control off

My Ride: 2006 530i mystic blue
i dont use the a/c to often i perfer crusin with my windows down. is there a way to keep the climate control on OFF once u press off. it seems like when i press off its back on again when i loOk down at the button. i just want it off untill i turn it on MANUALLY.

Turn the centre 'climate control knob' to the left until it turns the entire system off.
To turn the system back on, press the centre of the same knob.
The A/C compressor can be turned off with the snowflake button to the left of the centre control knob.
