My dunlop runflats finally wore out at around 20,000 miles. Just replaced them with Pirelli P Zero Nero M/S. They are an all season sport tire. I wanted an all season alternative to the very expensive Runflats. These 4 tires cost me half of what the runflats would have through Tirerack.com.
As far as road noise, I never really experienced any with the runflats nor did I find them to give a harsh ride, so it's hard for me to say if these give a smoother ride. More driving and I will better be able to tell.
These Pirelli's were recommened to me by someone on here. I forgot your username but thanks!!
We will see how they handle in light to moderate snow here in New England.

Hi, that was probably me.
I used Pirelli PZero Nero M+S for the last winter and absolutely loved them. For an all season tire, they did surprisingly well in snow. Also, they handled and rode great in the summer as well. For the price, and given the overwhelmingly positive customer reviews, in my opinion they can't be beat.
I hope you like them this winter!

I've been using Dunlop Winter Sport M2's on my E34 540i sport, 235 45 R17's - for the past two years -
in fact they've been used all year round -
for a dedicated winter tire they are quiet, have shown minimal wear, and provide all around great traction for those who live in the North - I'm too lazy to have summer and winter tires...my Z-rated tires were useless in Boston.
Awesome tires. and cheap thru tire rack -
