Default Just replaced headlight bulb why will it not go back in?

Why is everything so fing hard on a BMW? I just replaced the bulb on the drivers side of the car and I cannot for the life of me get the bulb to go back in the headlight!!! I even went as far as to try and look at the passenger side and I took that one out by mistake and it will not go back in either!!!

WTF am I doing wrong!? Loosing my mind over here been at it for a hour. What am I missing trying to re-install the bulb back into the headlight unit?

Thanks,
Josh

Depends on the type, but if it's a 9005 or 9006 there's only one way it'll fit since one tab is larger than the rest. Usually a good idea to look at how the bulb is 'clocked' before removing it as well as when the original one slides out. That way you know the 'angle of attack' for re-insertion. Good luck and keep your fingerprints off the glass.

Thank you for the response. Ended up pulling out the whole headlight it was to much of a headache. Should have pulled the headlight in first place took 5 minutes lol.

If those design engineers at Hella had added 1/2-inch more space at the back of the bulb then it would be a much easier job!

Try it with larger and sore hands. I just did the DRL 'halo ring' H8s the other day after a weekend of heavy duty gardening. Hands stiff and sore from digging.
