That's a beauty all right!! Enjoy your new ride and those twin turbos....I had mine humming on the ridge route last night...this car just glides at higher speeds and wants to keep going

I originally ordered the car with the dark poplar wood trim which was the same as my combo in my X5. The 535xi I test drove was a beige interior with the light poplar and it was difficult to tell how it would look with the dark dakota leather. So after looking at the brochure over and over again I had them change it. I am really glad I did, but it's all about what you want. I'll take some more pictures without the flash on the camera and post them shortly.

I will same I am quite impressed with the car and engine so far. I do miss the roar of my V8 in the X5, but I like the constant pull on acceleration in the 535xi.

The HUD is okay. It mainly displays the speed you are going unless you are using the NAV. It will also display cruise control info and check control messages. I didn't order ACC or LDW and both of those are also displayed according to the manual. I will say I've gotten used to not looking at the speedometer on the dash and therefore have my eyes on the road all the time.

Indeed, I am driving 100+ miles a day to get it broken in. We're heading up skiing next weekend so the extra traction will be nice! I ordered my car with the 17 all-season tires. Hopefully there will be some good snow cover to see how good or poorly they handle and stop the car. On my X5 I had 2 sets of wheels and tires. But given how often we get snow in the Seattle area, it wasn't really needed. If the all-season handle like crap and can't stop on snow, then I'll likely get a 18 set of wheels and summer tires next year and replace the all-season with a real winter tire.

A few more interior shots. My little Canon SD550 isn't the best camera in low light. I took these with the car in the garage.
