Here is a pic of my recently installed mtec bumper in the rear. my really ugly exhaust is now exposed and obviously needs changed. I do not want a full exhaust or anything crazy. I do not car if it sounds different or if it gains horsepower. I do not want to lose horsepower and I want the weird look to go away.

What is the cheapest but still quality way to do this? Can I just get a muffler and do a swap at my local shop or will that throw a code or something? Also, this is stupid, but why are there 2 canisters? This is different then any other car I have had and modified as they were always v8's with true duals.

we can do a universal magnaflow muffler that would just need to be welded on

I dont believe the RPI exhaust would fit on the xi 535.

I have an exhaust off my '08 550 which had the MTECT bumper. The muffler is painted black by BMW and fit perfectly with my factory rear bumper. It's for sale if your interested (Cheap)

And if it is just because you can see the bottom of the mufflers, just paint the muffler a flat or semi flat black.

It really don't look bad at all to me. but...

if you are not looking to gain power or have it sound any different, just have a couple of new tips welded on. no point in getting a new muffler for what you are looking for. some 3.5" round or oval tips powder coated black would look pretty sweet

Howitzer...Really like that setup, can you tell me exactly what it is and how much it cost to do? Is it louder than normal now?

As for the 550i muffler, is it low profile? I do not want to see big canisters at the rear of my car. Black paint will not do.
