if you lower your steering wheel to the bottom position, let go of the knob, and try it again, it will go down another 1/4" or so. I just discovered this and it's great!
Just thought I would let you know (sorry if repost)

Someone was actually complaining on the bimmerfest.com about this very thing and thought his steering wheel adjust was broken. Especially since when he set it to a certain position it doesn't go back to the original spot. Furthermore, some people could do this and some couldn't. I tried it out with my new car and I couldn't do it.

When I turn off the car and the steering wheel goes to its rest position I hear a not so pleasant noise as it starts its motion
![Oops](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/oops.gif)
Check and see if you hear it too.
