I drove from LA to Vegas on Sunday and returned today with about 600 miles total. I just noticed how much nicer this car is without the typical LA bumper to bumper traffic. For the first time, I didn't have to be gentle on my gas pedle. The highway was quite empty, since most of crowds left Vegas after the New Year celebration and still a few days from the CES (Consumer Eletronic Show).

I took my car to autobahn speed on an empty stretch of highway. I had to slow down before hitting the speed limiter. During this trip, I did not find any cars able to stay with me on the open highway. A few cars tried very hard to not let me pass them, but I passed them through openings normally reserved for small nimble cars . I actually like driving in D/S mode (steptronic) now.

Glad to hear you had fun with your car. Did you win in the casino though?

Alohalc,
You're driving in DS mode. Is your "D" mode still have acceleration lag?
Thanks.

I had a blast coming and going to Atlantic City New Year's Weekend! I'm still babying her though.

But some loser in an Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera was tailing me most of the way back.

I bet his car was "trembling" all the way.

Those long drives are always fun.. This car is built for big distances!! I get out just as fresh as I got in the car.. I hope you had good fun in Vegas..

Yeah, even after the long drive, I wasn't tired. On my way there, my wife made me stop for lunch, restroom break and outlet mall shopping. Those annoying stops break my driving rhythms

I spent few hours on the blackjack table and slot, but I was about even when I left. Mission accomplished (not lossing money). I did see "La Femme"

Thatz interesting as I did the same trip (LA~Vega$) on Saturday and returned yesterday. Could have met up in Vegas on Sunday~Tuesday

I didn't take the car over 3 digit speed. Reason: Got 2 tix in the last 3 weeks both issued by CHP So wife wantz me to slow the f*** down

Be careful, out there looks like the governator is raising the state funding via highway enforcement. Life Sux in Calif
