Just picked up my first small chip in the front of the 550i and need a bit of touch up.

I bought an Auto Sharp Pen for my last car, and for some reason I gave it to the guy who bought my E38 (not sure why, as my new car was also Alpine White - duh).

Before I order the pen, i wondered if there was anything else that you guys had seen that might compare...?

Thanks!

Cant comment on the pen but I am assuming you own your car and want to keep the front chip-free (which I do not see how you do that-I have tons of little chips on the front area-it is just part of driving)

But anyway I saw at bmw dealer they had a clear protective coat they can put over the front of the car and I believe it is invidible. It covers the side mirros and the front fascia area. If I owned my car I would probably look into it. Looks like it would do a good job of protecting that area

Hey Lawguy - Here you go buddy. I've never used this stuff, but I've seen many posts in the pasts about how well this works. It's called Langka.

Sorry to hear about your chips. If it makes you feel any better, I have a bunch of them on the front portion of my hood too. I didn't go with the 3M clear bra, but am thinking maybe I should have. Oh well...

Good luck!
