Default Just got alignment and im still getting ABS warning lights.

Hey guys, i just installed some new 19'' wheels and tires about 4-5 months ago. Once i installed them onto the car i started to get some kind abs warning that pops up every time i drive. Its quite annoying and it never happened before when i was riding on the stock 18's. I just got an alignment and the shop does have the steering angle tool and they said that they zero'd everything out and everything should be fine now. The only problems that they found was that the driver rear strut was leaking oil and the front camber specs were a little wacky. I drove off from the shop and damn abs warning light came back on.

What seems to be the problem? Its getting quite annoying having to live witht the xmas tree on the cluster. Im going back tommorow since they're closed now. Here's the spec sheet.

When you installed the 19" tire/wheel setup, did you go square or staggered setup. If you went staggered, the circumference difference between front and back tires may be exceeding the difference the ABS system can live with.

I got those miro 111's that a bunch of e60 owners already have! Yes it's a staggered setup and the tire sizes are 255/40/19 rear and 235/35/19 on 19x9.5 rear and 19x8.5 front.

Your sizes are surely off. on an 18" wheel, the tire size is 245/40-18 square, so the front on a 19" wheel should be 245/35-19 (looking at a specific tire like the Conti DWS) this size would have 805 revs per mile, the rear tire should be sized 285/30-19 with 808 revs/mile.

With your sizing on the same tire, the 255/40-19 has 769 revs/mile and the 235/35-19 has 815 revs/mile. Really far apart.

Are you sure these are the tire sizes you have? Did you spec the size or did the installer spec it?

I just made a guess on what tires i thought would fit without any fender rolling. I bought and installed everything myself and yes those are the tires sizes on my car. I didnt think it would be a big deal since the car isnt awd. Aren't alot of guys running crazy wheel and tire combo's without any issues other than clearance? My setup is completely tame.

Another issue i was having even before with my stock 18's was that id get a cruise control malfunction error at around 70mph and upon researching it had something to do with the abs system. Possibly the wheel speed sensors/dsc pulse.

[ My setup is completely tame. Not when it comes to the difference in rolling radius from front to back. Yours is much higher than the 5% that might be permitted.

Stock square or staggered. It seems to me that problem is indeed the large difference in front to back rolling radius. Can you go back to stock square?

Ok, you guys might be right about the tire sizes. I do still have the stock 18's but the tires are toast and one isnt holding air. Im gonna have my local indy diagnose it next week. I really do appreciate the input!

Would a 245/40 be a better tire size for the 8.5 front wheels? So it would be 245/40/19 on the 8.5 and 255/40/19 on the 9.5
