I haven't donw the 25s trick after SB install - will try it in an hour when I get off work - ohhh - I'm exicted!
25s trick - quick re-cap: turn the ignition so your lights turn on, but don't turn the car on.
Then WOT for around 25 seconds or so...you might here a click and some noise or you might not..doesn't matter seems to have been working either way with forum members...
This is supposedly re-setting the learning habit of your tranny...

WOW - what a difference that made!
I got another new car about 30 minutes ago people!!
FYI - no click or any sounds.

Ok this is going to sound really stupid BUT...
I just discovered the DS mode. I thought that when you push the gear selector to the left its only for tiptronic. I didn't realize you can leave it in DS mode and it drives better. PLUS with my sprint booster its crazy!
Can you believe I've had the car for 11 months and discovered this last night! WTF!!

When I first got my X5, this was the first thing my client advisor (salesman) introduce me to. I'm surprised it took you 11 months to figure that out. Also, when you shift to DS, it also tells you on the LCD screen. Both of my BMWs, X5 & 3, tells you this and I don't even have navigation. How could you have possibly miss this.

When I bought my car the young guy who introduced me to all my goodies probably explained this... I was just so damn excited to have an E60 that I was daydreaming about driving around to my friends houses to show it to them.
You seem offended that it took me 11 months to discover DS. There should be more people like you sir, who get everything right the first time... every single time they encounter something.
