way to be crazy with a curb near by-luckily you did not hit a parked car or a person at that rate. Try an open wide space next time
If you want to go give people hassle about the way they drive, go look at the video in the M5 section. 195mph on a public road ... swerving in and out of cars ... THAT is dumb. This was just a bit silly.

Had I posted this story I would have gotten the same comments or worse that I gave-dont be hypocrits now.
I just think its a bit dumb to be doing donuts anywhere with curbs, walls, poles nearby unless you are a true expert at driving and doing those things. When I do burnouts or donuts they are in a wide open country area or huge parking lot dead center where there is nothing around because once the car slides like his did there is often no turning back

It's doubtful that you've broken a driveshaft but you've almost certainly bent or broken something in the suspension. Most of the suspension pieces are aluminum so they don't flex very far before breaking. The wheel bearing is probably damaged as well; they don't like shock loads like that and it will soon start to rumble if not replaced.

I flipped off the DSC in my M3 (just to play a bit). I got a very rude awakening, but saved it!! Its amazing how well the systems work and how much the systems on these cars spoil us.
Sorry, its probably very fixable if you have a good shop.

Sorry to hear about your mis-hap...
Hopefully insurance will cover the cost of the damage...
Are you sure you didn't hit a curb swerving out of the way of a poor defensless deer?

next time you do your burnouts in the wide open spaces, be sure and take some pics that can be posted as reminders to everyone else. Oh yeah, be sure to take some pics of your supercharger while you are at it. we are all anxiously awaiting a looksee at the first ever supercharged E60 530i in the world.
How much did it cost to put the superchange in?
