I bought a 2008 550i sport this Saturday to replace my 545i. My 545i was rear ended last week on the freeway. The other car hit me going around 40mph from carpool lane while I was at complete stop in LA traffics in the lane next to carpool. My 545i is still in the auto body shop

I'm still learning to adjust to the new car's behavior. Somehow, 550i feels very heavy to me on the throttle pedal compare to 545i and X5 3.0si. Do I need the Sprint Booster? I have one from 545i, so maybe I should just try it.

Congrats on the quick turn-around into your new 550i! If the 550i has the same transmission the 545i had, I would definitely hook up the Sprint Booster!

Congrats on the 550i member 77. Not very common to see a 2 digit member posting nowadays.

Glad you're OK. Geez, that could have been serious. Nice to know you're enjoying the new ride.

In Russia there is a thing to preferably not to do, is drive your old car after you bought your new one, if you where planing on selling it! You get into a crash if you dont follow this rule, I know its superstitions but its best to follow them

Yes, I'm selling the 545i to auto shop's son this week. Hopefully, the transaction goes through. Otherwise, I'm stuck with 1 extra 5er.

I'm ok except for neck pain and headache I was told this will last a few weeks. I'll try the sprint booster on my step.

Katmai,

I drive my 08 550 in drive/sport or shift/sport mode 99% of the time...I have the sport auto tranny and sport mode transforms the car.
