Hey guys, I just bought my beamer and wanted to do a few things to once as soon as i get it (First week of August).

next year i plan to buy rims, possibly bumper/spoiler/skirts as well.

i also have a newb question for what "LCI" is.. someone said after 2008 they're all LCI, but i'm eager to know before i even have the car in my possession as to which parts to buy for later on. can anyone tell me the difference? and if mine is already LCI?

i also would much appreciate any tips and recommendations for ANYTHING!

Welcome to the forum! As a newbie, your first assignment is to plug "LCI" in the search box and do some reading. It will serve you well in the future. But yes, your car IS LCI, so be aware of that as you purchase parts.


BTW, another recommendation is that you call your future ride a "bimmer". "Beamer" is the BMW motorcycle. Both are pronounced the same.

hey man so after looking over hours of videos on youtube for my vehicle i came across different tail lights.. saying LCI have like LED bars as opposed to Pre-LCI with just bulbs and it's a big difference to me.. when i bought the car i never seen the lights in the dark, so i don't know which ones i have.. i'm super eager to have this baby but i was wondering if you could clarify..

If what you bought is truly an '09, then it's LCI, no worries.
