My Ride: 2009 535i Titanium Silver Metallic, xDrive, premium pkg, cold weather pkg, sat radio, rear split/heated seats, euro reflectors
Default

Ok so I turned my leased '06 in a couple of years ago and have been jealous of every 5 series I've come across since. So I'm finally in a position where I can get back in and I'm looking at a pre-enjoyed 535. My first question is (besides age) what are the feature difference between an '08 535xi and an '09 535i with xdrive?

Also, what's the latest with the iPhone? In my '06 my iPod was permanently in the glove box, now I've got an iPhone 4s and want to use Siri. What feature/adapter do I need to take full advantage of my iPhone 4s?

Thanks in advance for the help!

In Europe the CCC(iDrive) was upgraded to CIC witch is faster and have a higher graphical output and is also fitted with a harddrive, this change was done in the start of 2009

Thanks... I realize the AWD systems are the same I was just using the proper naming convention so that I wasn't taken for a noob.

So it sounds like the iDrive was upgraded & I know the base 17" wheels are much better looking (IMO). Anything else? Any subtle exterior changes that I'm missing. I haven't seen an '08 & '09 side by side.

Did the '08 have USB integration?

I believe in the US only the iDrive controller was updated in 2009 (it is nicer), but the unit is still the same (CCC or Mask). I believe CIC debuted in 2010 over here.
