the prius is down because there is a 6+ month wait list, not enough supply for its demand. No other reason.

I think the only reason why the Prius is such high in demand is because more corporate sectors/government agencies are now starting to purchase more Japanese cars like the Prius than american made cars. Despite the numbers and stats, I don't see that many consumers in NYC at least driving a Prius compared to the majority out there who recently bought cars. I'm not saying I don't see one every day, especially with the population in NYC, but margin wise.

While it may be true that the supply of Prius's does not meet demand (and that there is a 6-month backlog), that does not explain why deliveries were down so much in June. The retail turn rate for the Prius in the first two weeks of June was 4 days - the shortest in the industry. So, yes, they can't keep them on the lots.
The only explanation is that Toyota delivered fewer units in June 2008. Dunno why.

Has anyone priced a new E60 compared to their current model? The exact match for my 550i, same options, close to the same color is more than 9% higher than I paid, and the lease payment for the new E60 jumps from 800.00 and change to over $1000.00, for the smae period and allowed miles. The cool upside to this is hell, if I am going to shell out a grand for a 550i, what stops me from going to another 600 a month for the M5..... MORE POWER.....
