Well guys, today I did it. Ditched the Bridgestone RF after 30,000 miles faithful service and moved to Vredestein Ultracs.

Just an absolutely mind-boggling improvement in road manners

I have been an exponent of the RF tyres on here, indeed I drove over 400 miles on a flat tyre without knowing it had a nail it it (thought the RPA was malfunctioning).

But, I truly believe changing to non RF's is the biggest upgrade you could make to your car

I haven't tested out what the handling is like yet - I want to bed the tyres in a few more miles yet, but the early signs are that it is very progressive and hasn't lost any communication.

I'm also rather pleased because they quoted me the wrong price (based on a smaller size) and had to honour the ?300 for 4 tyres fully fitted.

If I had to guess, 70% of my driving would be termed highway.

I suppose I'm light on my feet! (and I don't mean that in a Brighton/San Francisco way, thanks very much )
