Well my 545i is over a year old and I must say it has been very trouble free.
I believe this it be norm as I read though this and other e60 forums.
To think that this TOTALLY redesigned on new sheet of paper model has had such few general problems is amazing to me.
Yes I was worried when I saw all the problems the 2002 release of the 7 series had. I don't believe we have had a fraction of those problems.
Yes I see some redundant complaints , but for the most part the cars new releases are trouble free .
I stop into my dealer from time to time, free car wash, parts updates and purchases , or just see what's new in inventory, I look into the service dept and see very few 5 series if any at all.
Many complained about the amout of software revisons , but when looking at all of them I see few fixes and more updates.
Latest updates have no fixes.
And some problems were addressed very quickly and resolved via software, just as invisioned.
Before I look like the worlds biggest chearleader I'll stop, expect for one point.
I build handmade Vaccum Tube Guitar Amps, if you visit my site you will see some of worlds greatest Guitar players using them on the cover page.
Eric Clapton, Buddy Whittington, Joe Walsh, and Brad Paisley , I'm not tring to spam , but just saying I know what demanding users are and how tuff it is to satisfy users from the Rock/Blues/Country stlyes of music and to produce trouble free products with worldwide distribution.

Glad to hear a trouble-free review from a forum member! I should be receiving my 530xi in about a week, and am hoping that my car too will be mostly trouble-free. Can't wait!!
