Hey guys asking from anyone uses or has used a jb3 what map level is safe to use without throwing any error codes? Some people are saying map 3 while others are saying map 5? Mind you this would be on a vehicle with no engine modifications, obviously the higher the map level the higher requirements needed as far as aftermarket exhausts and downpipes etc.

I thought all jb3 versions were "invisible" regardless of maps
Or are the 2.0+ versions not invisible anymore?
edit: read a few threads on e90posts: looks like some report codes on any map, but they don't list their other mods so hard to tell which map is safe/tuner code free independently..
judging from this post:

looks like map 1 can push enough boost/psi's to throw a code (as newer SW versions are sensitive in detecting tuner manipulation AFAIK)...just to be safe I would find someone or purchase a BT or BMS CT http://burgertuning....ol_for_BMW.html
the CT seems to be a good price IMO...
