BMW Group sales are BMW+Mini
BMW Brand sales are BMW only (cars and trucks)

I believe that inventory was severely depleted ...
I'm amazed that a high(ish) end car like the e60 can successfully be sold off the lot with a random configuration and colour combination even though the model range and colour combos are comparatively limited in the US.

So as pure numbers not that influential on total sales in the context of being influenced by waiting for LCI.

As interesting as unit sales are, it would be additionally informative (but doubtless commercially sensitive) to know the proprtion of revenue that each model accounted for!

Don't know. Other thing is that has orders counted as a sold car? When car is counted to the sales statistics?

Skaffa
I think an order becomes a sold car only when it is registered.

i have a 535d on order which i dont want to pick up until the start of april, which they said was fine, however they would want to register the car at the end of march so it counted as that quarters sales figures...

Bear in mind that "registration" is different in different territories. These are US sales figures.

If you're in the UK, in you case you will be liable to buy a new road fund licence (road tax) from the end of February 2008 if your vehicle is registered (and therefore taxed) during March 2007.

Unfortunately, here in the midwest (Chicago area), dealers pre-order them almost always in black and silver and they get the standard options for the car. Finding a 530 with stick is near impossible, even the sport package is sort of rare as the 530s are brought in with auto, premium, and a couple of other options, 550s are brought in with auto, sport, nav, cwp, L7 and maybe one or two other options. People don't realize the flexibility they can/could have if they just ordered. You can check out the stock by going to the dealers sites.

kind of interesting - but just try and find a blue 550
