Sales of 3,330 5 Series this January represents a 28.9% decrease from the 4,681 units sold in January, 2006.
By way of comparison sales of the Mercedes-Benz E Class totaled 3,375 units this month; up 36.9% from the 2,465 units sold in January, 2006.

Hmmm, I was going to suggest that the early January announcement of the facelift (LCI) may have had an impact, but the model most impacted (530 to be replaced by 535) actually had an increase in sales. The drop-offs were with four-wheel drive, wagon, and the big engine versions (550 & M5).

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
Remember that E-Series was just facelifted this summer...
