So you guys think the HUD is worth it?? a Few questions.. does it work in the daylight? or only at night..

i tried to check it out the the dealers but they didnt have one with HUD on the lot....

The good news is that any old button in a sh!t storm will turn it off and stop everything but the ringing in the ears.

HUD is fantastic, day or night.

If you have nav, you won't regret getting the HUD. If you don't have nav, then I guess the HUD would be nice but maybe not missed so much.

HUD is worth every cent. I don't want to drive without it anymore. It's a must IMHO...

Agree, but it could be worth a lot more if we had choices of info to display. Gears in particular with SMG. With the 540-6 I often tried to shift to 7th. Now I am always giving it one last tap to make sure I'm in top gear. I think the great torque was/is responsible for both.

Tach would be nice, too, and maybe some of the car data and trip info.

I emailed that suggestion to BMW allready...

I honestly thought I was the only one who did those things! On the E39, I used to call myself a stupid name every time I tried to find 7th!

i was planning on going aftermarket for NAV... but i dunno..i guess i'll just have to find a dealer that has HUD and NAV for me to fiddle with a bit......

about the 7'th gear thing.... u know what means .
