First and foremost, I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!! Even though I work for a dealership, it's not the same as you actually own one. My previous BMW was a 2003 540i which was a great car, however the 2007 550i is a BEAST!!! The car is nothing like I could have ever dreamed. I took delivery yesterday. Now, I know most of you are probably thinking why didn't this guy get a 2008, why did he get a 2007. First, I leased it through the BMW Employee Purchasing Program. Yes, I could have got a 2008, but I don't feel like paying $200 -$300 more per month for different tailights and different interior setup. Second, I will have the car for 2 years and will then either get an M3 or M5. The iPod adaptor is really sweet! I never saw one in person before the one in my car. The HUD is adjusted and is much better off then the original position. The V1 has been hardwired and I will post some pics as soon as I get a chance. I hardwired it into the overhead lights, where the SOS button is located and I then ran the wiring down the A pillar on the drivers side and mounted the consealed display to the left of the HUD screen, which is in the corner of the windshield. It works perfectly, however, I did have to splice one of the wires because the wiring that comes with the V1 was cutting out. The performance of the car is the very impressive. I can't wait to break it in!! I have uploaded some photos that were taken when she first arrived at my dealership. I will take photos sometime this week of her. Thanks!!!

Congrats and roger that on the M5. I plan on keeping my new 550i for four to five years and then snapping up a real nice used M5 a year after the new design comes out.
