It?s here and in true German fashion perfectly on time; first thoughts after 500 miles:

I think I-Drive is Okay!, except trying to tune the radio without RTFM, too excited

Auto Wipers and lights seem to get confused , no dash display to say if lights are on?

Torque on 525d is great compared to previous 320d

Lack of Auto dimming mirror frustrating (may try the retro fit)

First tank averaged 32mpg

Ride on run flats is still better that 320d except for cats eyes

Only problem so far was that an aftermarket car phone installation (See pic) has triggered an air bag / restraint warning and disabled the I-drive menu button! , booked back into the dealer for resolution next week, all to be paid for by phone installer!

Pics of old and new attached (sorry for the MB lurking in the background!)

Can you please repost those pics after compressing them. I think you just slapped the H-rez picture in the post straight from the camera. Thanks

A small LED next to the auto position indicates if the lights are on.

Also, in US model, the hazard triangle is illuminated.

On my car, the hazard triangle is illuminated all the time, with or without the lights on...
