I have the BMW MOST iPod adaptor and have no problems playing songs back from my ipod. I recently got an iTouch so I thought I'd bring this over as well and listen to some stuff in the car.
To my chagrin...the device is not recognized by the adaptor. Anyone else have this issue??????

I have the OEM iPod adaptor and my iPod Touch is not fully compatible. Its been working with my Touch fairly well, only problem was that the car wasn?t charging the iPod.
Last week I updated the firmware version to 3.0 and now it?s very slow to operate. When connected to the adaptor, loading the artist list takes almost one minute before it starts playing...
One thing you might try is to reset the factory default settings to the iPod.
Hopefully you get it sorted out

to enable the ipod Touch to charge you need the scosche adapter. Iphone and ipod Touch are not supported to charge OEM but with the Scosche adapter it'll work

I guess that I will just have to wait for a fix from Apple.
