Hello I downloaded Ista + but when I open the app I get a notification that then closes the app when I press okay. I have 4gb RAM on my laptop..

 

It's telling you, you need more ram. You need more than 4GB of ram to meet specifications. Study how storage is measured and you will find out 4GB does not equate to 4096MB

 

4GB does in fact equal 4096MB, no?

In any case, you may in fact have 4GB of RAM installed, but what matters for a program is available RAM, as the operating system, etc, require the use of RAM as well.

What the screen message is telling you that you have 3270 MB of AVAILABLE RAM, but the program requires 3800 MB of free RAM.

Bottom line, insufficient available RAM to operate the program.

 

You are correct it does equal 4096 to a regular consumer but mathematically you will get 4000MB and you are correct you have to account for other programs using RAM

 

 

You may have 4GB physical but not available. Bump up your RAM.
