IPOD Interface question
#1
I have a 2006 525i without navigation. When I select a category (album, artist, etc...) via the Ipod interface (MP31, MP32, etc..) the system automatically starts playing the first song on the first album (or artist) on the list. This is a bit annoying because it is always the same song that just happens to start with an "A". I would rather the system just show me the list of albums or artists and wait until I select a song. Is this something that has been "fixed" in later versions of software, or do all versions behave like this? thanks

Atleast mine does so...
Another annoying thing is when you go back in the menu, for example from the selected artist song list go once back to the whole artist list, it always starts from the beginning...and then you start scrolling from AC/DC again
I had my iPod interface retrofitted by the dealer at this march and the menu is CD1, CD2 and so on.

Just got my new E60 with the new iDrive.
iPod interface using USB: same thing - it auto-plays the first song all the time.
So, no, not fixed.

hmm mine(facotry ipod /usb) just auto-plays back the song where I left off the last time i drove. This even works when I remove the USB drive to transfer new songs from my PC. But then again, I have not tried Ipod with it. I never use my Ipod for its horrible sound quality.
