Stopped in a queue of traffic for roadworks, the queue was backing up around a tight corner.
I stuck my hazards on a precautionary measure and kept a close eye on my rear view mirror.

Seen the truimph come skidding around the corner extremly fast, straight towards me. My heart sunk like its never before (had our 16 month old daughter in the back) and at the last minute he veered off into on coming traffic and hit another car head on, and then bounced into me.

I couldnt care less about the car, everyone was ok.
Truimph driver had nasty cuts here and there, was unconcious for a bit but not life threatening. It could have been alot lot worse

Mines the bmw, and the focus is a friends.

 

WOW! Good to hear no one got (seriously) injured. That Triumph is smashed!

Excellent ! Really glad to hear everyone will be fine . My compliments to your attitude, cars can be fixed.
I'm sure having your daughter in the car really scared the ,,,,,out of you. Makes you really think how fast things change.

 

Glad to hear you guys are ok. So did he hit the focus head on and that just happened to be your friend? Confused about that part. Also, just curious.. you were watching the mirror as a precaution and then actually saw something.. did you plan to try and move your car a little or did it just happen too quickly?

Great to hear you and the family are okay, looks like the Triumph got the worst of things.

 

I'm glad to hear that no one was seriously injured, especially your daughter. Moments like this remind us of what's important in life, and that NOBODY is promised tomorrow.

 

Yikes ... everyone was extremely lucky ... reminds you that one's life can change in a moment!

 

Thank God, every one is OK. It just happend to me two days back, I was visiting dealer to check for IPOD programming and while coming back, stopped at a Stop sign (the sign is partially hidden - hanging tree limb with snow). My car came to complete stop and noticed on my review mirror an Audi skidding to my right and came pretty much parallel to me (partially on the curb). I just saw his face and thanked my lucky star and started driving without uttering a word..
