Weirdness abounds. Over the last week or so, Ive been getting an intermittent "Service Engine Soon" light at start up. The Service message in Idrive says: "Increased Emissions!". This started coincidentally last week when I was in Southern PA and had to gas up at a non-brand name gas station. Ive checked the gas cap and it's tight. I've just refilled with Sunoco 93 octane, and the SES light went off the last time I started the car so hopefully the problem will self correct if it was in fact bad gas (I havent seen a degradation in performance though). I did see the thread posted by phocker recently as well.

Before going to the $tealer and having codes pulled, I thought I would see if anyone has any suggestions of what it might be. A friend who owns a 7er told me that he has a service bulletin from BMW detailing certain gasoline(s) to stay away from because of Ethanol. Any thoughts?
