Just make sure you don't have that nagging voice in the back of your head for the next couple of years saying "I should have swapped for the black" - make sure you're happy with it, that's all that matters.

+ 1000...make sure you are happy with what you got NOW, othewise it will nag you everytime you get in the car!! Is having the dealer reorder another car an option, after all, they made the mistake and should be willing to stand behind it.

good luck and enjoy your new ride whatever you end up doing!!

Had a new 520d SE on order for some time now and it finally came through today but the lease company mixed up the spec
Instead of the standard uk spec grey interior trim i went for the high gloss black However, this was mixed up with the high gloss black exterior trim around the windows
Sorry to hear about the mixup.

Didn't you guys write up proper documents? I know I did yesterday.

The black trim for the outside windows goes under the name "Shadow Line", and the interior trim with - int. trim.

It might be hard to change them now, I know there's a three month cue for 520d's.

Changing them afterwards is not a good idea!

Soooo, what i ended up with was standard grey interior trim and high gloss black around the windows. . . . make sense?

Is it possible for my dealer to change the interior to high gloss black and the exterior to the chrome around the windows?

Thanks alot in advance

Matt
Matt,

Leave the high gloss shadow line well alone. I think it looks nicer than the chrome - but each to his own of course.

Personally, I would change the interior.

Here is what it looks like in my car.

You choose which you like best.

Mistakes do get made with orders.

My fleet manager ordered my car and missed the high gloss and no model inscription. As a precaution, I made direct contact with the dealer and caught the mistake before it was too late! I would not have been happy if it had been wrong, so understand where you are coming from.

Let us know what you decide.

Regards,

Make sure you're 100% happy. Its a great car, so you don't want something nagging you every time you get in it! (-- and no, I'm not referring to the wife ! )
