Hey,

Just wondering exactly what lights the interior lighting package adds ;D! I know it's part of the premium package, but I haven't really seen an e60 with a premium (although I've seen without it). Although a minor question, it really makes me curious as to *what* lights are added to your car?

You receive all the amber lighting to the interior. The car basically glows more inside. I believe it is the handles and the door cubbies and the lights on the mirrors. I could be wrong

Never noticed it when I first took delivery because I no night driving in Europe.

Two orange lights create a glow over the center console. There are also two at the back. Very cool feature!

I guess the light under the mirrors on the outside is part of it too.

In my car the orange lights for the console (front & rear) are standard. As are the lights under the doors when you open them.

Option 563 - Extended Lights Package

Outside Mirror - lighting of outer door area
Door Opener
Front Footwell Lights
Rear Door Panels
Door Exit Lights - rear
Luggage Compartment Lighting (additional in boot/trunk lid)

This might be a dumb question and no doubt answerable by reading the owners manual. Can you adjust the intensity of those red lights? It seems the car I test drove the red ambiance lights wre brighter/stronger.

Thanks

Do you mean the orange lights in the roof. I think they're LEDs, but I've not looked.

Intensity might change when you adjust the instrument lighting, but I've not checked.

There doesn't appear to be any way of controlling these lights. Not that I've tried to.
