Default Interior Dash trim

So,.. My 2004 545i center dash section does not have the cubby hole below the navigation slot and above the heated seat buttons. If I were to purchase this the trim piece with the cubby hole.... would it fit/work? Or are these cubby hole dash deals used on cars not having navigation? In other words.. is there an empty space behind this location, or is does the nav occupy that space?

Kindof a dumb question, but i would hate to get the trim/cubby only for it not to work.

This is the trim section.... shown upside down here.

Looks just like the one pictured only no cubby hole pocket. Just watched a few videos and it does look like the navigation unit is behind this area, and the version with the cubby hole must come from a non nav equipped car.

That could be because I have the cubby and don't have nav.
