Just thought I would share my experience? had the Dinan exhaust/software installed today and it feels like the car has been transformed into a more satisfying beast... should have done this a long time ago.
My car is a 2004 545 that I was getting bored with. Problem is, there was nothing out there I wanted (aside from a 997s which is not practical for me with at this time), and the car is running great, so I decided to keep it and bide my time until the F10 comes out.
Exhaust has a deeper rumble without being too obnoxious. And the software feels like it makes the car rev more freely with smoother power delivery. Definately going to need new summer rubber after this driving season.

Congrats! I had the full Dinan performance package on my '04 545 as well and loved it. You should also add the Sprint Booster.

Doesn't seem to be much else to do as far as bang for the buck goes.
Just going to enjoy it and save the $$$ for the F10 M5 in 2010/11.

Thinking about doing the same upgrade on mine. Which Dinan package did you get and how much ?
The exhaust was a deal for C$800 as it just came off of a 550i who's owner changed his mind after a couple of weeks. At the recommendation of the shop I also did the basic software (http://www.dinancars.com/store/Perfo...29-p-2508.html) for C$550.
I didn't really shop around, but heard good things about Dinan so I just went for it. For what its worth I would have paid full price anyday .... love what it has done to my car.
