Default Injection coils and sparkplugs brands and experience

Hello,

It's time to replace the spark plugs and injection coils. Recent oil change and air filters on the way. What are the best cool and injector combination to replace stock parts? I was planning on going with the highest reviewed ones on Amazon. What do you think?

Appreciate it,
Karl

For sparks plugs, I recommend NGK or Bosch.

What about the injection coils? There are several options including POCYBER($84.00), Bosch$145.00), etc. (other brands). The Bosch are the more expensive set than the other options. Any experience with the other brands? I really don't want a coil or plug to fail in a year.

Short summary: Only 3 types of ignition coils can be used in N43/N53 series engines:

a. BMW 12137559842

b. Bosch 0 221 504 471

c. Delphi GN10476-12B1

Based on the OPs signature I would say they have an N54.

Bosch have been working well for me but I don't have many miles on the replacements yet. That Bosch price is too high. You can get them from FCP with a lifetime warranty for quite a bit less: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...-12131712219x6

Definitely go with an OE or OEM brand like Bosch or Delphi.

Agreed. I replaced my plugs and coils with Bosch parts (ZGR6STE2) in my N54 at 185,000km (115,000 miles) and everything is still running smooth at 255,000km (160,000 miles). I've had a couple injectors go bad - but I've been replacing them with used ones in sets of three because decent replacements are so expensive new.
