Going to go pickup lunch, and increased emissions comes on idrive and a check engine light!
Right off the bat, car doesnt sound the same, feels like it doesnt have power like it normally does...
So I decide to give it, and it moves, but not like it was before, and when driving in Manual mode (m1 2 etc) after few secs it keeps going back to DS which it never did before...

any thoughts, bmw tech? lol

Found a list in somebodys increased emission issues... heres a list of what can be and cant be. Crank shaft sensor sounds like my problem!

- Crank Shaft Sensor - Can't be this because that should cause tranmssion shift issues and in D, DS or manual it flies like a bat out of hell (business as usual).- Ignition coils - i have no rough idle.
- DTML pump and reservior- ?
- filler cap - replaced on the last visit
- carbon filter - Removed.
- leak diagnostic pump. ?
- oxygen sensor. ?
- mass air flow sensor. ?
- faulty air pump. ?

In the United States the emissions related issues are covered for a longer period of time that the standard 4/50 warranty so CPO coverage isn't an issue with regard to specific covered components. What about in Canada?
